Head of Commercial
The Head of Commercial is responsible for overseeing both the sales and account management departments to drive overall revenue growth, foster strong client relationships, and ensure seamless collaboration across teams. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership to maximize client satisfaction, market penetration, and company profitability within the iGaming industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
a. Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the companys growth objectives with Group Commercial Director.
b. Set departmental goals and KPIs for both sales and account management teams, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
c. Identify new markets, trends, and opportunities within the iGaming sector.
Team Oversight and Collaboration:
a. Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and account management teams, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
b. Foster collaboration between departments to ensure a cohesive approach to client acquisition, retention, and relationship management.
c. Provide training and resources to enhance team capabilities and market knowledge.
Revenue Growth:
a. Oversee the development and execution of strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
b. Work closely with the sales team to identify high-value opportunities and close deals.
c. Collaborate with account management to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
a. Act as a senior point of contact for Tier 1 clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
b. Develop strategies to improve client retention and strengthen partnerships.
c. Work with the marketing team to highlight successful client collaborations through PR and other initiatives.
Event and Market Engagement:
a. Represent the company at high-profile industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
b. Support the teams in maximising networking and lead generation at events.
c. Review and analyse post-event reports to ensure follow-ups and optimise future strategies.
Operational Excellence:
a. Ensure efficient processes within the sales and account management teams, leveraging tools like Freshsales CRM.
b. Standardize reporting and analytics to monitor team performance and client metrics.
c. Drive continuous improvement in client onboarding, retention, and satisfaction.
Reporting and Communication:
a. Provide regular updates on commercial activities, pipeline progress, and departmental performance to the Group Commercial Director and board.
b. Collaborate with other senior leaders to align commercial strategies with overall company goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Extensive experience in sales and account management, preferably within the fintech or banking industry.
· Previous experience working with EMIs.
· Proven track record in leadership roles with measurable success in driving revenue growth.
· Strong understanding of the iGaming market and its key stakeholders.
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency in CRM tools, specifically Freshsales, or a similar platform.
· Strategic mindset with the ability to execute detailed plans effectively.
