HR Generalist
The HR Generalist will support and implement a wide range of HR policies, ensuring that the companys HR operations run smoothly. The role involves providing advice and assistance to employees on a variety of HR matters, coordinating employee relations, administering benefits, recruitment and ensuring compliance with labour laws. The HR Generalist will work closely with management and employees to ensure a positive, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding process, including work permits where required;
- Coordinate work permit renewal processes;
- Coordinate payroll;
- Assist with the administration of staff benefits;
- Liaising with local authorities and service providers;
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices to advise on policy development & necessary changes;
- Administer & enforce company policies and procedures;
- Act as first point of contact for employees regarding HR & general office related inquiries;
- Escalate any conflicts, employee concerns and grievances;
- Promote a positive workplace environment;
- Support senior managers with performance management and employee development;
- Maintaining up to date employee records in BambooHR;
- Keeping inventory of office supplies and ordering new materials as needed;
- Assisting senior management as and when required;
- Reserving meeting room for meetings;
- Organizing events when necessary;
- Ensuring office is clean and well maintained at all times;
Requirements
- Work Experience Ideally minimum 1 year experience in a similar or administrative role
- Skills Knowledge of labour laws, employee relations & HR best practices;
- Knowledge of BambooHR will be considered an asset;
- Excellent written & verbal skills in English;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Clean & smart appearance;
- Be a self-motivated and highly organised individual;
- Possess a strong eye for detail and a can-do attitude;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity;
- Be conversant in the use of Microsoft Office applications;
- Loyal and hardworking;
- Experience working with remote colleagues and managers will be considered an asset.
